Proposed Trip
As the trip brochure says we will go out twice once for one night and again for two nights.
Our planned campsights have changed the last two years because of snow.
You should be prepared for a 5 mile hike with 1,000 ft of elevation gain from
7,000 to 8,000 ft. carrying 30-35 pounds (maximum of 20-25 pounds of personal gear,
plus shared commissary of approximately 5-10 pounds).
We try to average 1.5 MPH including breaks.
Weather: The average high for July is 78° and
the average low is 37°. The record low for July is 24°.
Dressing in layers is the best way to prepare for the 30° swing.
The Weather Channel more at the donner page.
