Heat:
Be wary if wine is kept in temperatures above 75°F for more than a few days. Above 80°F, that wine is at risk with each passing hour.
It can be left at 72° for a week but will age faster.
And if it gets much hotter, your wine may get cooked, resulting in flat aromas and flavors.
Professor Cornelius Ough of the UC Davis department of viticulture and enology believes that wine could be exposed to temperatures as high as 120 °F for a few hours and not be damaged.

One telltale sign that high temperatures have begun to affect your wine is when the cork starts to bulge out of the bottle.

Only a small percentage of fine wines on the market benefit from long-term aging. Most wines are best enjoyed within a few years of release.

Cold:
The average fridge temperature falls well below 45° F.
it will halt the aging process. It's fine for up to a couple months
After 6 months the lack of moisture could dry out corks, which might allow air to seep into the bottles and damage the wine.

Light:
Light, especially sunlight, can pose a potential problem for long-term storage. The suns UV rays can degrade and prematurely age wine. One of the reasons why vintners use colored glass bottles

Wine Quality:
Better-made wines tend to withstand extreme temperatures and other adverse conditions better than cheap wines, while still maintaining their character.
