Birth Myths Sargon the Great was the dynastic founder of Akkad in Mesopotamia (c. 2340-2305 BC). He was sent in a basked of rushes into the Euphrats River.
Moses (1,526-1,406 BC) has a similar experience.
Gautama the Buddha (563 BCE to 483 BCE) was born to a mother who dreamed that a white elephant impregnated her. He was born out of her side with no pain.
