Whirlpool W10121977 Pantry Siderail Endcap Right Side

https://www.amazon.com/Whirlpool-W10121977-Pantry-Siderail-Endcap/dp/B00L4GAYP0?tag=ustxtaddt-20 You have to take parts such as the end cap glide off of the old end caps and transfer them to the new one.
Both sides hav a guide that the drawer rides on.
The right side has a bunch of parts (slide control, actuator arms, air adjuster) to connect the slide on the front of the endocarp to a vent in the middle of the back. You need to take pictures before you take it apart to know how to reassemble it on the new endocarp.

Luckily as of 2026 there are instructions at PartSelect on the internet.

3.0 out of 5 stars No instructions provided. Reviewed in the United States on June 19, 2019 Verified Purchase No instructions provided. Left siderail is different than right siderail. Online videos show how to install left siderail but right side is very different. Kitchenaid refrigerators are all crappy plastic. I will not buy another Kitchenaid refrigerator. Everything is cracking or riipping. Next project is to install replacement door gaskets. Never had a refrigerator require so many repairs.

The tab you need to depress to remove this part from the refer sidewall is almost dead center. Product photo shows it with white space around the tab.

I expect most people are replacing this part because the plastic pivot nub for the deli drawer snapped off. Perhaps this is a poor original design. At any rate you'll need to figure out how to remove the old part yourself. For this right side part, you won't need tools- it is all tab based. The whole thing comes out together along with the crisper apparatus that runs along the back of the fridge. Once you've gotten it out you will need to move those parts over to the new end cap. You'll also need to reuse the metal drawer slide, which also comes out by depressing a tab. I can't say exactly what particular bit of magic gets the old end cap out other than you have to understand that it comes out together with the crisper apparatus. If it comes out separately it means you broke something. I did unintentionally break one of the tabs on the old end cap during removal which actually seems to help get it out (and didn't matter since the part was going in the trash anyway.) Good luck.
