Wireless Network Hotspots Napa River: The Napa River is a tidal river with about 7 ft tides. The Napa River runs some 55 miles (89 km) from Mt. St. Helena to San Pablo Bay and drains a watershed of about 426 square miles (1100 kmĀ²).[1] The river is prone to seasonal flooding from November through April each year. There have been at least 22 serious floods on the Napa River since 1865. The most serious recent floods occurred in 2005 (29.8'), 1997 (28'), 1995 (30.5'), and 1986 (30'). When water on the Napa River gets too high it's diverted into the Oxbow Flood Control bypass. The 400-million dollar project took two decades to complete. In february 2019 it crested at 26 feet but the flood project spared the city. Fires: The bigest fires near Napa were in 2017 and 2020
