Description

This is really http layered upon the secure socket layer.

Protocol

Notes

For information about SSL see SSLREF. And see also, SSL.html.

The advantage of SSL over Swipe is that SSL requires no reimplementation of your TCP/IP stack to get security.

ssl-talk and ssl-talk-request@netscape.com are mailing lists covering SSL in general.

Implementations

Currently only implemented on TCP, version 3 of SSL may work on udp.
