Bootstrap Protocol
Description
Protocol to allow a machine to get its IP address dynamically.
Protocol
The client sends requests as a broadcast to the bootps port, the
server responds using the bootpc port, which may be either a broadcast or
not depending on driver facilities in kernel.
Notes
There is only one page for both bootps, and bootpc, and this is it.
