acr-nema/tcp
American College of Radiology and the National Electronic Manufactures Association.
Description
ACR-nema seems to be a port that is used in medical radiology machinery to
allow communication of information between machines in a consistent manner.
Protocol
Notes
The standard reference document that started to establish this protocol
is the ACR-NEMA digital Imaging and Communications Standard 300-1985,
later (NEMA 300-1988). The standard work was given a new name (DICOM).
Information can be found via ftp ftp.xray.hmc.psu.edu/dicom_docs. (I've had
difficulty doing the web browser thing to it, because it expects a full
username@hostname). The whole spec seems to be available either in postscript
or hqx files.
