You can add features in a number of ways:
Skills - Alexa skills are like apps. You can enable and disable skills, using the Alexa app or a web browser, in the same way that you install and uninstall apps on your smart phone or tablet.
Routines - Allows the voice assistant to complete multiple tasks with a single voice command. Alexa functions available via "If This Then That" (IFTTT) app IFTTT is an app which will look for something in one app and use it to do something in another. (e.g. if rain tomorrow send an email to you, turn off WiFi on your phone when you leave home.)
