The Township of Edison and the New Jersey Sierra Club held a dedication ceremony for the Jane Tousman memorial bench at the Edison Municipal Complex on October 22. A bench and plaque was paid for by donations from SC volunteers, while the Edison Township provided pavers, landscaping and installation assistance.
New Jersey Sierra Club Chapter Chairman, Ken Johanson and Director Jeff Tittel plus many other officials and citizens spoke at the ceremony.

Following the ceremony the township council passed a resolution to name the proposed new Learning center to be built in Dismal Swamp, "The Jane Tousman Environmental Learning Center"

The bench was installed under a dogwood tree in front of the entrance to the Township Council Chambers and Mayor's office.
