From Glasgow it is easy to get to Milngavie by bus from the main bus terminal (Buchanan St)
or by train from the Queen Street or Central train station every 15 min.. 
A taxi for the Glasgow airport directly to Milngavie is probably the easiest way.
It takes about 20-30 minutes and will probably cost about £20-25
