Paranormal events are events that can not readily be explained by "the range of normal experience or scientific explanation."

Paranormal phenomena include extrasensory perception (ESP), telekinesis, ghosts, poltergeists, life after death, reincarnation, faith healing, human auras, extraterrestrial life, UFOs and so forth.

Charles Fort (1874-1932) is perhaps the best known collector of paranormal anecdotes. Fort is said to have compiled as many as 40,000 notes on unexplained paranormal experiences.

Terms:
Clairvoyant - The ability to gain information about an object, person, location or physical event through means other than the known senses. i.e. ESP

ESP - Extrasensory perception - Clairvoyancy.

Telepathy - The purported transmission of information from one person to another without using any of our known sensory channels or physical interaction.
