I charge $45 an hour one hour minimum and 40% mark up on material with a $25 minimum. My area is rural and cost are low so your numbers may vary.
May be up to $85/hr in metropolitan Boston.
- Carpenter - CT-NY $48-$65; IL $28-$42
- Electrician - CT-NY $50-$65; $28-$42
- Plumber - CT-NY $60-$70; IL $36-$45
A contractor will typically mark up labor rates by 1.5 to 2.6 times.
i.e. a $20/hr employee would be charged out at from $30-$54/hr.
