1. My son and I went up Mt. Tallac (9,730') Sunday evening to watch the fireworks at 5 locations around Lake Tahoe. It turned into a real adventure: Injured dog, 2 out of 3 lights failing, bad map on new GPS, ... we got off the mountain at 2:30 AM.
