In 2013 an underpass was constructed so Rt 22 goes under the rail spur serving the quarry.

People in the area can hear a noise and feel a vibration when they blast.
In the high production summer months blasts may occur twice a week.
To get a phone notice 2 hrs before a blast, call 732-356-5700, and dial 3 to be put in touch with an administrative representative.

The blasts look similar to the Nexco blast on YouTube.
